چکیده
In this study, fermentation-based organic fertilizer (OF) was produced from the aboveground parts of Fallopia japonica (Houtt.) Ronse Decr. The quantity N in OF (17.2 kg t−1 fresh lactic-fermented OF) higher than average cattle farmyard manure, but on a comparable level to solid poultry and rabbit manure. applied field evaluate its effect Chinese cabbage. nutrients with N159 were 159, 19 100 ha−1 for N, P, K, respectively. Hybridization increases invasive knotweed success
Hybridization is one of the fundamental mechanisms by which rapid evolution can occur in exotic species. If hybrids show increased vigour, this could significantly contribute to invasion success. Here, we compared the success of the two invasive knotweeds, Fallopia japonica and F. sachalinensis, and their hybrid, F. × bohemica, in competing against experimental communities of native plants. Usi...
متن کاملNeural Network-Based Software for Fertilizer Optimization in Precision Farming
A novel technique for providing fertilizer recommendation in precision agriculture is proposed. The method is based on the maximization of the profit function approximated using a decision support system based on artificial neural networks. The sofhyare implementation of the proposed approach is described and its use is illustrated on simulated realistic data. Experimental results suggest that ...
متن کاملSynergy and Transition of Recovery Efficiency of Nitrogen Fertilizer in Various Rice Genotypes under Organic Farming
Despite the growing demand for organic products, research on organic farming (OF) such as genotype screening, fertilizer application and nutrition uptake remains limited. This study focused on comparisons of the apparent recovery efficiency of nitrogen fertilizer (REN) in rice grown under OF and conventional farming (CF). Thirty-two representative conventional Japonica rice varieties were field...
متن کاملEcological Impact of Japanese Knotweed in Western Europe
Fallopia japonica (Houtt.) Ronse Decr. (Japanese knotweed) is considered to be one of the most serious invasive exotic weeds in Europe, causing significant damage to native ecosystems. However, with the exception of competitive exclusion of native vegetation, its suggested ecological impact is poorly supported by experimental studies. In 2004, we started to investigate the ecological impact of ...
متن کاملObject-Based Image Analysis for Detection of Japanese Knotweed s.l. taxa (Polygonaceae) in Wales (UK)
Japanese Knotweed s.l. taxa are amongst the most aggressive vascular plant Invasive Alien Species (IAS) in the world. These taxa form dense, suppressive monocultures and are persistent, pervasive invaders throughout the more economically developed countries (MEDCs) of the world. The current paper utilises the Object-Based Image Analysis (OBIA) approach of Definiens Imaging Developer software, i...
